A Canberra man has been sentenced to seven and a half years jail for a stealing spree across the capital in 2007 and 2008.
From April 2007 to February 2008, James Nelson Fusimalohi, 30, went on a stealing spree across Canberra's inner-north, Belconnen and Gungahlin.
He broke into seven homes and stole $75,000 worth of property.
Fusimalohi used the proceeds of the burglaries to pay for his heroin habit.
Acting Justice John Nield told the court that he doubts the offender is remorseful, and that his only thought was how to get the next fix.
Justice Nield told Fusimalohi that repeat offending will not be tolerated and sentenced him to seven and a half years jail.
