Driver too drunk to be charged

<p>A man caught driving almost seven times over the limit in northern NSW was too drunk to be charged, police say.<br /><br />Officers received reports of a man driving erratically on Summerland Way, Casino, about 7.40pm yesterday, and pulled the driver over when they saw the car veer onto the wrong side of the road, police said.<br /><br />The 47-year-old man, who was driving with two passengers, gave a positive breath test and was taken to Casino police station, where he allegedly blew a reading of .341.</p><p> </p><p>"Due to his level of intoxication, it was not suitable for the man to be charged at the time," police said in a statement.<br /><br />Police suspended the man's licence and took his keys, before taking him to a relative's home.<br /><br />He is expected to be charged with high-range drink driving later today.</p>
